1971 Austin 6cwt Van

First registered December 1971 so this Austin badged van is one of the last produced.Finished in dark green with black interior trim, the cab is carpeted with underfelt and we have fitted refurbished original seats.Just completed an extensive restoration including internal and external respray. We have retained the original looks of the van including fitment of original wide rimmed wheels with radial tyres but it is a “wolf in sheep’s clothing” having been fitted with 1275cc engine with 5 speed gearbox, branched exhaust manifold and a larger single SU carburettor with a larger side exit exhaust, alternator and electronic ignition, disc brakes on the front and larger 8 inch rear drums and halogen headlights to assist with night time driving.This makes it a very drivable classic for today’s driving conditions and is a lot of fun!It is in lovely condition and could be used as an everyday vehicle or if sign written a very practical business marketing vehicle.SOLD
